Friday May 18th Arts and Culture Bike tour of Ft.Greene

6:45pm- 7:45pm

In a breezy 45 minutes you will hear all kinds of interesting stories about what has made and kept this area the cultural birthplace of writers, musicians and actors such as Truman Capote, Patti Smith, and Erykah Badu. We will safely bike past the area’s distinctive Beaux… Arts style row houses - a throwback to the historic wealth of the area. We will stop to spot the current and former residences and workplaces of Brooklyn’s trendsetting artists and learn why Fort Greene Park is designed to be so darn iconic and beautiful. We will begin and end the tour at the Dekalb Market where you can enjoy a drink and some food, and discuss Fort Greene with new insights and appreciation! A number of food vendors will be providing discounts to our riders.
