If you weren’t there then you just wouldn’t understand. The Fashion Show, Art Opening, and Farm Festivities made this past weekend exude an unbelievable energy that makes Dekalb, Dekalb. It all kicked off with an open bar by Brooklyn Beats and a tasting by Nile Valley, Tea by Tiffany, Cuzins Duzin and Pasticcio. BBOX was cueing beats that brought the vibe to the next level.

Farmer Erika made fashion to farm a real happening trend. It was a “celebration of both bio-diversity and cultural diversity while exploring what it means to grow in this city, together.” The festivities kicked off with 3rd Ward and their DIY Seed Saving and Trellising workshop. The Greenhorns and the Brooklyn Food Coalition took the reins after with a book raffle and hand-screening tee’s that Brooklynites brought and they even screened Ben Flanner’s tee right off his back. It was a huge turnout and we’d like to give a big thanks to all the farmers for showing up and sharing their wonderful projects with the Dekalb community. Lastly, Buddy and Dumpling rounded out the farm party. Oh, you don’t know them? World meet celebrity chicks Buddy and Dumpling as seen in Outside Magazine.

Thanks to everyone who attended and most of all major kudos to our one of a kind Dekalb Merchants.

Take a look at the snapshots we got!
