We invite you to submit your best plush story along with a photo of your plush toy for an upcoming Grumpy Bert art show. We’re looking for true, compelling personal stories that impacted your life. Whether from your childhood or a recent find, we want to hear about it. The photo must feature the plush toy and although nice, you don’t have to necessarily be in it. Only one photo per story. Maximum story length-250 words. Deadline May 31 2012.
The stories and photos will be displayed at Grumpy Bert @ the DeKalb Market in Brooklyn, New York. This is only an exhibition show, no sales of your stories and photos will be made. All ages encouraged to apply.
Please provide the following:
- Your Name
- Name of your plush toy
- Your City and State (Country too if outside of USA)
- Email address
- Photo of plush – print quality / hi-res file (at least a minimum of 1200px)
- Story – 250 words or less
- Tell us how you found out about the open call (not required, but would satisfy our curiosity)

Grumpy Bert is a shop/mini gallery at the DeKalb Market in Brooklyn, New York. All the shops at the Market operate inside a shipping container… What?!!
