Dekalb Market Opens This Weekend With an Easter-Egg Hunt and Dollar Mimosas

Smorgasburg may be bowing this weekend sans booze, but elsewhere in Brooklyn, Dekalb Market will roll out with a permanent beer garden. Also on the books for opening weekend: $1 mimosas to help parents cope with the egg hunt their little ones can participate in, a flower market, live music, and of course cool stuff for sale and good things to eat from the likes of Maharlika, Robicelli’s, and Joe. Dekalb will also host a couple of workshops including a tea-and-chocolate pairing Saturday at 1 p.m. and a South Indian cooking class on Sunday (details here). The market is a seven-days-a-week affair, with fun activities including Red Hook Lobster Pound crustacean boils, movie nights, and dance parties planned periodically.
